About Us

Hibiscus Rodders Inc, is a Hot Rod, Performance and Classic Car enthusiasts club. We’ve been part of the Hibiscus Coast community for just on 40 yrs. Our focus is on family based events, taking the opportunity to drive the cars we are all passionate about. We get involved with a lot of charity and community fundraising. Auckland Rescue Chopper, Age Concern, Hibiscus Youth Centre, Pink ribbon, Blue September, and The Heart Foundation.

Who We Are

Hibiscus Rodders Inc are a diverse group of families and individuals, all with a common interest in classic, performance and modified cars. Some members are relatively new to the sport / hobby, while others have been involved for most of their lives. We have a fantastic group of people, who have a passion for their chosen vehicles which is reflected in the caliber of each and every car, some members having multiple vehicles. Although from all walks of life, and very diverse careers, the passion and enthusiasm for our vehicles is what brings us all together, several times, most months to drive these cars, and spend time with like minded enthusiasts.

Our History

Hibiscus Rodders Inc is affiliated to the New Zealand Hot Rod Association, and has been operating in the Hibiscus Coast since 1982. Some of our founding members are still active members of the club. Our membership has grown since we started the Hibiscus Rodders Beach Festival 10 years ago, and we have single and family memberships of all ages. Many of our events are within the Rodney district, but with many members attending car events throughout New Zealand, Australia, and even in USA. Most club vehicles are American, early English, or Australian origin.
