What a great sunny day for a drive to Takapuna and share a 10 year old's dream. Hayden asked for a ride in a Mustang. Well let's go to mini golf and see what happens. With His Dad, 10 mates and Norman we could hear them coming. straight for the cars and a huge surprise to be told to pick a car, stand in front of it for a photo and you're going for a ride round Takapuna over to Milford and back. That put huge smiles on their dials. Such a joy to see enthusiasts who certainly knew about cars. Great effort by all attending and especially Norman for setting this one up.
Easter Show at Mangawhai. A great family day out with an easter egg hunt and more to entertain the kids, while the whole family have a great day out all about cars.... of course.
26th - 28th March. The famous Beachhop weekend that all rodders look forward to. Another great one this year.
Run to Wenderholm for a magnificent Fish and chip feast from Captain Kerr's in Orewa. Finished off with a cheeky (not so little) icecream.
Club run to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter headquarters at Ardmore Airport. Presenting a cheque for the whopping amount of $80,200.00 raised for the charity at the Rodders Beach Festival in January.
The club was invited to a great family day at Kumeu Showgrounds for a picnic and entertainment organised by The Zone 2 faction of the New Zealand Hod Rod Association.
23rd - 25th January. The fantastic 3 day beach festival held at Orewa Beach raising funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust. The ultimate aim is to raise enough money to cover the costs of all the Hibiscus Coast rescues over the year. What a great cause!!!
